Ella will be joined in her studio by Alex Guthrie.
Alex is a designer and maker based in a shared workshop in henderson. He works in the field of architecture and joinery. Working on large scale projects for architecture firms and also with his hands as a part time independent joiner/ furniture maker. Alex is driven by a desire to see more craft in contemporary design and joinery. Craft to alex is an act of care, paying attention as well as seeking out stories and context each piece works within. This is represented through the craftsmanship and materiality of the project.
