HUIA HAMON
Huia is a visual artist, award-winning maori musician, singer-songwriter and publicist. As Huia describes her studio; "my studio is a little haven which has been used for my own art space, tea ceremonies, events, song writing workshops and more. Its rustic but still has everything an artist needs like printers and the internet!
A good balance for an artist like me". Huia is the granddaughter of the late artist Rei Hamon (CBE) and daughter of nature artist Awanui Hamon. She has the last of the family archived prints of Rei's limited edition series and various prints from Awanui Hamon that will be available to view and purchase, as well as a collection of retro memorabilia from the gallery on the Coromandel peninsula.
