JEANNIE VAN DER PUTTEN
Jeannie hand-draws designs on cloth in her studio in Bali. The design is then traced in wax using a traditional tool called a 'canting'. The motifs and background are hand-painted, 'fixed', dried in the sun and boiled. The cloth is then made into bedcovers, tablecloths and kimonos, and is only available directly from the Titirangi studio.
