KATE MCINTYRE CERAMICS
Kate McIntyre has been working in ceramics since completing a Bachelor of Design in 2009. The element that runs through all her work is the inspiration that stems from natural environment. She draws on this to make pieces that are refined and timeless, from everyday functional pieces to unique sculptural objects.
Kate has been a finalist in the Portage and WaiClay Ceramic awards and an Artist in Residency at the European Ceramic WorkCentre in the Netherlands. She has exhibited her work throughout New Zealand, most recently her installation exploring light and pattern at the Quartz Museum of Studio Ceramics in Whanganui.
