MARGARET CHAPMAN
Margaret’s work is inspired and influenced by the richness of the bush, coast and garden environment - quilts, stitched works, cloth dolls, plant dyed fabric and small books are full of texture and colour reflecting the ever-changing visual landscape of the studio environment on the edge of the Manukau Harbour.
Visitors to the studio will see works in progress along with a display of current work focusing on ‘waste not want not’ through material selection. There is an opportunity to purchase works and try your hand at folding a small paper book sandwiched with leaves and bundled into the dye pot.
