VERITY KINDLEYSIDE
In the initial years after leaving High School, Verity worked full time as an artist, painting, printmaking and creating ceramic work. During this time she exhibited extensively throughout New Zealand, participated in group exhibitions and mounted 10 successful solo shows.
Verity studied at Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts, completing her BFA in 2007. She has also lived and studied in London, recently returning to live in Titirangi. Awards Verity has won include the Supreme Award, Franklin Arts Festival 2016, Pumphouse Art Award for Painting in 2007, Molly Morpeth Best Drawing Award. Verity was also a finalist in the Parkin Drawing Award 2017, Adam Portrait Award 1991, 2000, 2004, 2016 and in the Portage Ceramic Awards 2001, 2005 and 2006.
