Seeking Our Way Exhibition at Arataki Visitor Centre

Exhibition at Arataki, Spring 2026

Creating together in community. Helping each other navigate through life's storms.

Workshops were held at Te Uru Gallery and Arataki during the July school holidays, creating and mapping the storms that became part of the Seeking Our Way exhibition.

At the Seeking Our Way workshops, each participant drew on two pages. One page became their own handmade book, to transform their storm in their own way. The other page Emma Hinton from The Light Library gathered to create a collaborative storm artbook. Now on display, you'll see prints of those pages alongside the stories and kōrero shared during the workshops.

All of these storms become one beautiful, fun, messy, colourful expression of chaos.
