Luminous series

Rene Jansen works from a large  converted parking shed in the Waitakeres .
Originally from the Netherlands, he has been producing sculptural work of a contemporary nature for many years.
His work is influenced by the bauhaus movement and Japanese modernism amongst other aspects.
The medium he mostly works with is aluminium and the relief sculptures that are the result are not easily categorised.

His latest series of works are of a luminous nature due to the colours chosen.
These works challenge our connection to shape and colour and therefore are transformative in their essence.
