Inside the Studio with Rene Jansen

Step inside Studio Rene Jansen, a converted packing shed tucked away in Oratia, where contemporary sculpture, colour and design come together.

Originally from the Netherlands, Rene has spent many years exploring sculptural forms, drawing inspiration from the Bauhaus movement and Japanese modernism.

Working primarily with aluminium, his latest Luminous series combines striking colours and geometric forms to create contemporary relief sculptures that play with our perception of shape, colour and space.

Filmmaker Conan Fitzpatrick visits Rene to explore his studio, creative process and the ideas behind his work.
