Sofia Athineou is a contemporary glass artist of Greek heritage whose sculptures capture the elemental energy of Aotearoa's landscape. Steve Tollestrup Opanuku Studio
Steve paints landscapes from his own west Auckland environment; from bush and coast to rural and open country. He’s less interested in simply recording what a place looks like, than in capturing the spirit of place and something of what it feels like to be there, so that his paintings are not static decorations, but paintings that are alive and renewing.
