Rachel is a potter who works on the wheel with porcelain and stoneware clays. She creates thoughtful and refined objects that are designed to be enjoyed every day. Visitors will see works at every stage of the making process, alongside ceramics available to purchase, plus tea or coffee.

Rhyll works with encaustics, an Ancient Greek/Roman method that uses heat to mix tree resins with beeswax and pigments. She blends painting and stone assemblage with copper and natural materials such as sticks, leaves, feathers and wood blocks to give expression to the sacred in nature.

Seeking Our Way is a collaborative exhibition created by local whānau and The Light Library. Through workshops at Te Uru and Arataki, participants mapped life’s storms in handmade books and a shared artbook. Their colourful pages, stories and kōrero come together at Arataki as an expression of creativity and community.

Ruthie is an award-winning photographer who will be giving demonstrations of her practice, with works in progress, and limited editions for sale at her studio in Lopdell House. Gift vouchers for family shoots and portraits will be available.

Sheryl works in a range of media including acrylics, oils, photography and print. She is inspired by her travels, both far and local. Her work includes abstracts, landscapes and still life images. Original framed and unframed works will be for sale, plus limited-edition giclée prints. 

Sofia Athineou is a contemporary glass artist of Greek heritage whose sculptures capture the elemental energy of Aotearoa's landscape. Drawing inspiration from the wind, fire, and water of the Waitakere Ranges, she casts glass ranging from intimate pieces to commanding installations, prized for their sensual, optical play with light.

Steve paints landscapes from his own west Auckland environment; from bush and coast to rural and open country. He’s less interested in simply recording what a place looks like, than in capturing the spirit of place and something of what it feels like to be there, so that his paintings are not static decorations, but paintings that are alive and renewing.

Sculpture and furniture designer Rene Jansen has been producing contemporary relief sculptures for a number of years. His latest series combines luminous colours and aluminium to create relief sculptures that radiate with energy.

Sue Butler’s Rustic Art Studios combines a B&B with a project space upstairs. Sue will open your eyes to the potential of combining keepsakes/unexpected materials with creativity. She collaborates with her clients, to create unique artworks. Prepare to be inspired. 

Rex works in silver, gold and semi-precious stones.  His creations are entirely handcrafted using traditional methods.  He crafts bespoke and unique pieces that combine his lapidary and metalwork skills.  Many of his creations are made from stones he sources himself at locations around New Zealand.  You will find earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets in carnelian, jasper, pounamu, lapis lazuli, chrysoprase, and many other gemstones, all crafted with silver and gold.

From The Binding Studio, Louise creates handmade presentations, using traditional tools and equipment. With over 20 years of experience and accolades in the industry, Louise binds commissions, teaches workshops & sells bookbinding supplies. Demonstration of practice, view work in progress. 

"The Evocation of Worlds" by Ruth Ige, an exhibition at Te Uru, gathers together a new body of work that extends the artist's ongoing exploration of Blackness, African diaspora, speculative imagination, and ancestral presence. Across a serious of paintings, figures emerge and dissolve through fields of indigo, violet, shadow, and light – never fully fixed, never entirely knowable.

Titirangi Painters is a long-established group of painters active in West Auckland with members producing work mainly in acrylics in a variety of styles from hyper realistic to hard edged and colour field abstraction. Titirangi Painters' annual exhibition is a major event on the West Auckland arts calendar.

Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School Open Studio welcomes the community into spaces where students’ work reveals the unfolding Waldorf/Steiner curriculum through painting, drawing, sculpture, fibre and handwork craft. Visitors can view a student exhibition, with some works for sale, and join experimental arts and craft experiences in the surrounding ngahere.

Toni has a background in textile design, and creates colourful abstract art work as a translation of everyday moments. In a time with obstacles and distractions for many, art is a great way to find calm and connection. Toni’s garden studio will have original paintings, mono prints, art prints and cards.
